2009 GT Marathon Elite

The 2009 GT Marathon Elite is a 26-inch wheel full-suspension mountain bike built around GT’s I Drive 4 6061 heat-treated aluminum frame, which provides four inches of rear wheel travel through a main pivot system with integrated sealed angular contact bearings and internal cable routing. A RockShox RECON 335 Air shock handles rear suspension duties, while a Fox Float R fork manages the front end. Drivetrain components are drawn entirely from Shimano’s SLX group, including a Hollowtech II crankset and nine-speed trigger shifters. Avid Juicy 3 hydraulic brakes provide stopping power, and Kenda Nevegal tires — 2.3-inch front, 2.1-inch rear — sit on WTB Speed Disc XC rims.
