By 1988 GT Bicycles All-Terra series was in full swing which included ten Bicycles in the full line-up including ATB (All Terrain Bicycles) and a Multipurpose range.

The top model available to the public was the Avalanche and was one of only five models available in the dedicated ATB Range, including four that featured the triple triangle frame which became the trademark design for GT Bicycles as they progressed through the years.
