- BMX dominance: Throughout the 1980s, GT Bicycles became one of the dominant players in the BMX scene, with a reputation for innovative designs and high-quality construction. GT-sponsored riders, such as Eddie Fiola and Rick Thorne, won numerous championships and helped to popularize the sport.

- Rampage wins: The Red Bull Rampage is one of the most extreme mountain bike events in the world, featuring riders tackling massive jumps and drops on rugged terrain. GT-sponsored rider Tyler McCaul won the event in 2012, while fellow GT rider Cam Zink has finished on the podium multiple times.
Olympic success: GT Bicycles has been involved in Olympic BMX racing since the sport was added to the Olympics in 2008. GT-sponsored riders have competed in every Olympic BMX event to date, with Mariana Pajon winning gold medals for Colombia in both 2012 and 2016.
