Description
The 2009 GT Zaskar Carbon Team is a cross-country hardtail mountain bike built around a full monocoque carbon frame engineered for weight reduction and structural efficiency. A FOX 32 RL fork provides 100mm of travel with remote lockout, pairing well with the frame’s aggressive XC geometry. The drivetrain runs a complete Shimano XTR groupset, including a two-piece crankset with 22/32/44 chainrings and a Shadow rear derailleur with carbon pulley cage. Stopping power comes from XTR Centerlock disc brakes with 160mm rotors.
Wheel duties are handled by Mavic SLR Disc rims laced with Zicral alloy spokes, producing a claimed wheelset weight of 1,502 grams. Kenda Karma tires in 120 TPI with Kevlar beads complete the 26-inch setup.
