Description
The 2009 GT Avalanche Expert is an aluminum cross-country mountain bike built around GT’s Triple Triangle frame design in butted 6061 alloy, featuring hydroformed downtube and top tube shaping alongside a zero-stack headtube. A RockShox Tora 302 fork with U-Turn adjustable travel (85–135 mm) and lockout handles the front end, while Avid Juicy 3 hydraulic disc brakes provide reliable stopping power.
Drivetrain duties fall to a Shimano SLX nine-speed groupset paired with an XT Shadow rear derailleur and a two-piece hollow-tech crankset. WTB Speed Disc XC rims wrapped in Kenda Nevegal 26×2.1 kevlar-bead tires round out a capable package suited to trail and cross-country riding.
