Description
The 1992 GT Virage is a crossover-oriented hybrid bicycle built around a GT Triple Triangle 7005 heat-treated aluminium frame, featuring a reinforced gusset at the head tube and top tube intersection along with oversize seat stays. A GT unicrown chromoly fork with adjustable offset dropouts keeps the front end versatile, while 700c Araya VX-300 alloy rims shod with Ritchey Cross 38c tires define its mixed-terrain intent.
Drivetrain duties fall to a full Shimano 500CX groupset, pairing RapidFire STI shifters with a 50/40/30 triple chainring crankset. Braking combines a Shimano cantilever up front with a rear U-brake and GT cable crosser, a setup well suited to muddy conditions. Double water bottle bosses and eyelets on both fork and rear dropouts add practical utility.
