Description
The 1993 GT Borrego is a hardtail mountain bike built around a TIG pulse-welded Tange double-butted chromoly frame featuring GT’s Triple Triangle design and a 73mm bottom bracket shell. The GT “Bologna Lite” triple-butted chromoly fork uses 27mm tapered blades and a 1-1/8″ oversize chromoly steerer, paired with a Tioga alloy Aheadset. Drivetrain duties fall to a full SunTour XC-Expert groupset, providing 24-speed Dual SIS shifting through thumb shifters and a 42/32/20 crankset.
Stopping power comes from SunTour XC-Ltd cantilever brakes, while Araya TM-18 double-wall alloy rims wrapped in Ritchey Z-Max 26×2.1 tires handle trail contact. Six frame sizes, from 14.5″ to 22″, give the Borrego broad fit coverage.
