Description
The 2009 GT Avalanche 3.0 Disc is a 26-inch wheel aluminum hardtail mountain bike built around GT’s Triple Triangle 6061 aluminum frame with a hydroformed downtube and zero-stack headtube. Cable-actuated Tektro IO disc brakes provide reliable stopping power, while the SR Suntour XCM fork offers 100 mm of travel with lockout for varied terrain. Drivetrain duties fall to a Shimano Alivio rear derailleur paired with Shimano 8-speed Rapidfire shifters and a Suntour XCT-302 triple crankset.
Kenda Nevegal 26×2.1 tires mounted on Alex ASD-1 double-wall rims round out the contact points, and the bike is offered across five frame sizes from XS through XL, accommodating a wide range of riders.
