Description
The 2009 GT Avalanche 3.0 is an aluminum hardtail mountain bike built around GT’s Triple Triangle frame design in 6061 alloy with a hydroformed downtube and zero-stack headtube. The frame is disc-compatible and includes a removable derailleur hanger, pairing with an SR Suntour XCM fork offering 100 mm of travel and preload adjustment.
Drivetrain duties fall to a Suntour XCT-302 triple crankset with Shimano Rapidfire shifters and an Alivio rear derailleur across eight speeds. Kenda Nevegal 26×2.1 tires mount to Alex ASD-1 double-wall rims, suited for trail riding. Tektro linear-pull brakes handle stopping. Five frame sizes run from XS through XL.
