Description
The 2009 GT GTR Series 2 is an aluminum road bike built around a compact frame design using hydroformed, smooth-welded Kinesis 6061 butted tubing with carbon seat stays — a construction that keeps weight down while adding compliance at the rear. A GT carbon fork with aluminum steerer and Mavic CXP-22 black anodized rims on 700c wheels give the chassis a capable, race-oriented foundation.
Drivetrain duties fall to a full Shimano 105 groupset running a 10-speed setup, paired with an FSA Gossamer Mega EXO compact crankset (50/34). Tektro Skeleton forged dual-pivot brakes handle stopping, and Vittoria Zaffiro 23mm tires complete a spec sheet well suited to enthusiast road riding.
