Description
The 2009 GT Marathon Carbon Expert is a full-suspension cross-country mountain bike built around GT’s I Drive 4 monocoque carbon fiber frame, which incorporates both the front triangle and rear triangle in carbon construction with four inches of travel, integrated headset cups, and internal cable routing. A RockShox Recon 335 Air rear shock handles bump compliance while a Fox Float R fork manages the front end. The drivetrain runs entirely Shimano SLX — crankset, derailleurs, and trigger shifters — paired with Mavic Crossride Centerlock disc rims and Kenda Karma 26×2.0 tires. A Fizik Gobi XM saddle with manganese rails rounds out a build aimed at efficient trail riding.
