Description
The 2009 GT Marathon Carbon Pro is a full-suspension cross-country mountain bike built around GT’s I Drive 4 monocoque carbon fiber frame, which integrates both the front and rear triangles into a single-mold construction with four inches of rear travel. Internal cable routing and integrated headset and main pivot bearings keep the chassis clean and weight low. A Fox Float RP23 fork handles front suspension duties alongside a Fox 32 RL rear shock with remote lockout.
Drivetrain components lean heavily on Shimano, pairing XTR trigger shifters with an XT groupset including Hollowtech II crankset and Shadow rear derailleur. Mavic CrossTrail Centerlock rims laced to 26-inch wheels and Kenda Karma 120 TPI tires complete a capable trail package.
