The 2009 GT Transeo 4.0 Women’s is a 700c aluminum hybrid bicycle built around GT’s 7000 series alloy frame with a sport fitness geometry tailored for women riders. Hydroformed top tube shaping and forged drop-outs with chainstay disc mounts give the frame a degree of structural refinement uncommon at this price point. The SR/Suntour NEX4110 suspension fork provides 50mm of travel and accepts racks and fenders, making the bike genuinely commuter-ready.
Drivetrain duties fall to a Shimano Acera 8-speed rear derailleur paired with Shimano EF-50 Rapid Fire shifters and a Suntour triple crankset, covering a wide gear range. WTB Allterrainasaurus 700x35c tires and double-wall Alex rims round out a practical, versatile package suited to paved paths and light gravel alike.
