Description
The 2009 GT Zaskar Expert is an aluminum hardtail mountain bike built around a hydroformed Kinesis Superlight custom tube-set with a machined head tube and full disc compatibility. Suspension duties are handled by a RockShox Recon Race fork offering 100mm of travel with air spring and Motion Control damping. The drivetrain runs entirely on Shimano SLX, pairing nine-speed trigger shifters with a Hollowtech II crankset for reliable, mid-level trail performance.
Wheels are 26-inch Mavic CrossRide Disc rims laced with straight-pull bladed spokes to Centerlock-compatible hubs, wrapped in Kenda Karma 120 TPI folding tires. A Fizik Gobi XM saddle with manganese rails rounds out a build aimed at confident cross-country riding across five frame sizes.
