Description
The 1992 GT Richter 8.0 is a mountain bike built around GT’s Triple Triangle aluminum frame, constructed from Tange MTB double-butted tubing with an oversize 1-1/8″ reinforced head tube and top-tube cable routing integrated into a grooved channel. A Rock Shox Mag20 fork — US-made — handles front suspension duties, while a Shimano Deore XT Rapid-Fire STI shifter system drives a Deore LX crankset across a 46/36/24T chainring spread.
Braking combines a Shimano Deore DX SLR front cantilever with a rear U-brake fitted with GT’s FlexGuard crosser. Ritchey Vantage 26-inch silver-anodized rims complete a spec package that places the Richter 8.0 firmly in the upper tier of early-nineties trail riding.
