Description
The 1993 GT Talera is a chromoly mountain bike aimed at entry-level and recreational trail riders. Its TIG pulse-welded frame uses Tange chromoly main tubes and incorporates GT’s Triple Triangle design for added rear-triangle rigidity. The matching GT unicrown fork features 1-1/8″ oversize chromoly blades with a chisel cut. Drivetrain duties fall to a full Shimano Exage ES package, delivering 21 speeds via Rapid-Fire Plus shifters and dual SIS derailleurs, with a 46/36/26 crankset.
Araya AP-2 silver anodized alloy rims laced to 32 holes carry 26×1.95 knobby tires. The Talera is offered across a broad size run, including a dedicated ladies’ geometry, making it one of GT’s more accessible mountain options for 1993.
