Description
The 1992 GT Karakoram is a mountain bike built around GT’s Triple Triangle frame design, combining Tange double-butted chromoly tubing with a 1-1/8″ oversize reinforced head tube and an external butted seat tube. The matching GT unicrown fork uses 1-1/8″ butted chromoly blades and forged safety dropouts throughout. Drivetrain duties fall to a mixed Shimano groupset: Deore LX cranks with 46/36/24T chainrings pair with Deore XT Rapid-Fire STI shifters and Deore DX derailleurs.
Stopping power comes from Shimano Deore DX cantilever and U-brake units, while Araya CV-7 silver-anodised 32-hole rims on 26-inch wheels complete the build. Five frame sizes from 14.5″ to 22″ accommodate a wide range of riders.
