Description
The 1994 GT Karakoram is a chromoly mountain bike built around GT’s Triple Triangle frame design, constructed with Tange double-butted tubing and TIG pulse welding. A Rock Shox MAG10 fork with GT’s “Bologna Lite” triple-butted, tapered chromoly blades handles front suspension duties, while a full Shimano Deore LX groupset provides 21-speed gearing through Rapid-Fire Plus shifters and HyperDrive-C cranks.
Mavic M400 double-wall alloy rims laced to 32 spokes pair with Panaracer Hardcore Dart/Smoke 26×2.10 tires, giving the bike solid trail capability. The 1-1/8″ oversize Aheadset and five available frame sizes round out a build aimed squarely at serious recreational and cross-country riders of the era.
