Description
The 1992 GT Quatrefoil DX is a chromoly tandem mountain bike built around GT’s Triple Triangle Tandem frame design, constructed from Tange MTB double-butted tubing with a 1-1/8″ oversize reinforced head tube and four sets of water bottle bosses plus full rack braze-ons. A GT unicrown fork with tapered chromoly blades and adjustable offset forged dropouts handles the front end.
Drivetrain duties fall to Shimano Deore DX components throughout, paired with Shimano Deore XT RapidFire Plus STI shifters and a Deore DX tandem crankset running a 48/38/28T chainring arrangement. GT/Araya RM-20 700D silver-anodized rims laced to 36 holes and GT/IRC 700Dx1.4 dual-purpose tires round out a capable dual-rider off-road platform.
