Description
The 1992 GT Outpost is a chromoly mountain bike built around GT’s Triple Triangle frame design, which uses Tange chromoly main tubes paired with tapered seat stays and a reinforced head tube. A GT unicrown fork with 1-1/8″ blades and safety dropouts handles the front end. Shifting duties fall to SunTour XCT-Lite Accushift derailleurs and Express Accushift levers, working through an SR crankset with a 48/38/28T chainring setup.
The braking arrangement pairs a DiaCompe XCU front cantilever with a rear U-brake and GT cable crosser. Araya MP-22 alloy rims in 26×1.5 carry 26×1.95 dual-purpose tires, and the wide size range — from 12.5″ kids’ to 22″ adult — reflects the Outpost’s broad, trail-ready appeal.
