Description
The 1994 GT Outpost Trail is an entry-level mountain bike built around GT’s Triple Triangle design with a chromoly seat tube and TIG pulse-welded construction. The GT Unicrown fork features oversized 1-1/8″ blades, lending the front end added rigidity for trail use. Drivetrain duties fall to an 18-speed Shimano Tourney groupset with Altus C50 rear derailleur, Tourney thumb shifters with optical gear display, and a 48/38/28 triple crankset. Weinmann silver anodized alloy rims paired with Maxxis 26×1.95 tires keep the rolling stock capable on varied terrain.
The Outpost Trail was offered in an unusually wide range of frame sizes, including dedicated ladies’ geometry and 24-inch wheel youth configurations, making it a broadly accessible option in GT’s 1994 lineup.
