Description
The 1994 GT Avalanche AL is an aluminum-framed cross-country mountain bike built around GT’s Triple Triangle design using 7005 double-butted, heat-treated tubing. The frame pairs with either a GT “Bologna Lite” chromoly rigid fork or an optional Rock Shox MAG10, giving buyers a choice between weight savings and trail compliance. Drivetrain duties fall to a full Shimano Deore LX groupset, including 21-speed Rapid-Fire Plus shifters and a 22/32/42 HyperDrive-C crankset. Mavic M230 rims laced to 26-inch wheels and Panaracer Hardcore tires round out a capable trail package suited to competitive amateur riding at a time when aluminum frames were still earning credibility in the mountain bike market.
