Description
The 1992 GT Zaskar LE is a high-end aluminum mountain bike built around a handmade US-produced Triple Triangle frame in 6061 T6 heat-treated aluminum, featuring an oversize 1-1/8″ head tube, reinforced gusset at the head tube/top tube junction, and vertical forged dropouts. The fork is GT’s own 3D Unicrown with triple-butted chromoly blades, though a Rock Shox Mag 20 with dial adjust is offered as an alternative.
Drivetrain and braking are handled entirely by Shimano’s top-tier XTR group, including 8-speed Rapid-Fire Plus shifters and anatomically sized crank arms with 46/36/26T chainrings. Araya RM-400 Pro 7000-series rims laced to 26″ Ritchey WCS Z-Max Kevlar-bead tires complete a build aimed squarely at competitive cross-country riding.
