Description
The 1992 GT Zaskar is an American-made mountain bike built around a handmade 6061-T6 heat-treated aluminium frame featuring GT’s Triple Triangle design. Reinforced gussets at the head tube and top tube intersection, oversize seat stays, and a 1-1/8″ oversize head tube give the frame notable rigidity without excessive weight. The fork is either GT’s own 3D Unicrown with triple-butted chromoly blades or a Rock Shox Mag 20 with dial-adjust damping.
Drivetrain duties fall to a full Shimano Deore XT groupset, including Rapid-Fire Plus STI shifters, anatomically sized crank arms, and a 46/36/24T chainring setup. Araya RM-400 7000-series rims carry Ritchey WCS Z-Max 26×2.1 Kevlar-bead tires, and the frame is available in 16″, 18″, and 20″ sizes.
