1994 GT Zaskar LE

Built in the USA, the Zaskar LE features 6061-T6 double butted heat treated aluminium thats ball burnished for strength and a finish surpassed by none. Burly head tube gussets, monstrous welds, and a replaceable alloy derailleur hanger guarantee that the Zaskar LE can survive the likes of anyone, including GT extremist Hans Rey.
Description
The 1994 GT Zaskar LE is a high-specification aluminium mountain bike built around a handmade USA-produced frame in 6061-T6 double-butted, heat-treated aluminium with GT’s Triple Triangle design and a replaceable alloy derailleur hanger. The fork is either a GT “Bologna Lite” with triple-butted 27mm tapered chromoly blades and a 1-1/8″ oversize steerer, or an optional Rock Shox MAG21/TI suspension unit.
Componentry centres on Shimano XTR throughout — XTR cantilever brakes, 24-speed derailleurs, Rapid-Fire Plus shifters, and a 46/36/26 crankset — complemented by Mavic M-230 silver-anodised 26″ rims and Panaracer Kevlar-bead tyres. Five frame sizes from 14.5″ to 20″ make it broadly accessible for serious trail and cross-country riding.
